We rotate what is planted in our garden beds on a multi-year
rotation plan. The goal is to not have the same crop in the same bed more
than once in at least a three year period. Certain crops benefit by following
specific crops and conversely can suffer if they follow other crops.
Managing this rotation and allowing for expansion, experimentation, or other
issues can be a puzzle. To that end Jill draws up maps detailing what
goes in every bed we have. Click on a title below for a PDF file with the
